Does anyone know any good ghost tours in Los Angeles?

Question:
Tours that are sort of similar to “Scariest Places on Earth”, except they’re in CA (obviously) and a tour guide is preferred. Or something like Travel Channel’s Ghost Adventures…anything that will provide us with hands on investigation..

I am not too big on knowing all the ghost stuff but a popular touristy one is the Queen Mary.

The Queen Mary in Long Beach is supposed to be haunted. I think they just say that to drum up business. It hasn’t worked yet though. The poor ship’s various owners are constantly in bankruptcy.

The Real Black Dahlia Crime Bus Tour is about the gruesome murder of Elizabeth Smart aka The Black Dahlia. It’s our local version of Jack the Ripper. Esotouric actually offers several tours into the dark underbelly of LA life. Their True Crime tour offers the location of where the Night Stalker was captured, tour of Los Angeles’ oldest cemetery and other crime scene locations.

If you like to do creepy things than you shop at the LA County Morgue gift shop called Skeletons in the Closet. You can also watch a movie at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Lots of fun and very popular. Bring a picnic, a blanket to sit on and some wine. I’ve seen somebody famous every time I’ve gone and they weren’t one of the permanent residents of the cemetery either!

The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel is said to be haunted by Marilyn Monroe who use to live in one of the bungalows off the pool. Her personal Mirror is on the mezzanine near the elevators and some say her image appears from time to time. The staff claims that the ghost of actor Montgomery Clift haunts the ninth floor (suite #928), where he used to pace the halls back in 1953, memorizing his lines while making “From Here to Eternity. The Chinese theater is also said to be haunted.

I think the Marilyn mirror has been removed and may no longer be on display at the roosevelt hotel. The say there is a wicked ghost in that place…
