Does anyone know that myth w/ the football player ghost in the basement?

Question:
i remember hearing a myth/story that says if you go into some high school’s basement or locker room (can’t quite remember)
and you shout the quarterback’s name, a football will fly out of the darkness and break your neck or kill you or something.

Does anyone know about this ive just been to the Haunted Lambertville High School (NJ) and im interested in finding the location of this myth.

I could swear I just read about this or something similar in Weird NJ. I can’t remember what the exact story was off the top of my head.
