Halloween (also written Hallowe’en, literally “holy evening”), also known as All Hallows’ Eve or All Saints’ Eve, is an annual holiday celebrated on October 31. It has roots in the Celtic festival of Samhain and gets its name from being the evening (e’en) before the Western Christian holy day of All Saints (the Eastern Orthodox celebrate All Saints’ Day in June). It is largely a secular celebration but some have expressed strong feelings about perceived religious overtones.[1][2][3] The colours black and orange have become associated with the celebrations, perhaps because of the darkness of night and the colour of fire or of pumpkins, and maybe because of the vivid contrast this presents for merchandising. Another association is with the jack-o’-lantern. Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, wearing costumes and attending costume parties, ghost tours, bonfires, visiting haunted attractions, pranks, telling scary stories, and watching horror films.

Ghost Trek departs from the fountain at the corner of Front and Greene Streets (across from the Lafayette Hotel) every Friday and Saturday evening at 7:00 and 9:00 pm, weather permitting. If you have a group of more than 20 people, please contact us for special accomodation. Tour duration: 1.5 – 2 hours

This is the Third “Shack Box” Session ever recorded by OhioEVP. It is a small 11 min audio recorded by me (Bill) and a my Mother Karen sat in for this session in hopes to contact my grandmother. We recorded this on a cheap little over the ear mic like the ones you get with a cheap web cam placed next to the speaker. I will be updating to a better one vary soon. There seems to be many voices, Steve, Paul, Thomas Edison. The “box” is a Radio Shack 12-469 modded by me. This is a special session as it was for my mother and although we no direct RTSC with my grandmother we were able to contact her boyfriend Pats father Mike. He came through several times.
