I have had a number of ghostly encounters myself and would love to hear your stories. I believe our old house was haunted by a young girl who was not threatening in any way, but who liked to play tricks. There are too many instances to recount here, but a few more memorable ones where my stereo and bedside lamp turning on and off seemingly of their own accord; on separate occasions both my younger sister and I would have sworn that we heard the other calling, then on investigating found that (for example) my sister had not been calling me. These instances would often be followed by what sounded like giggling (which used to scare the crap out of me!)Then there were the reactions of my animals, particularly my cats. For no apparent reason they would stop purring, often fluff up, growl and stare at what seemed to be thin air. Whatever it was, this ghostly activity seemed to be focussed around me but as i said was also experienced by my sister and mum. Can anyone suggest a reason for this?

It seems like every person who believes in that superstitious nonsense sees their own kinds of “paranormal phenomena.”
When people claim that other people have seen the same things, it’s almost always their family member, who would obviously be prone to the same genetic chemical imbalance that would allow such a gross misinterpretation of reality.
I just saw three ghosts playing hackey sack in my front yard! Never mind that my mom is slowly going insane from schizophrenia… these must be real! Now let me grab my camera and… oh, they’re mysteriously gone now. Spooky!
The people who aren’t family members merely listen to the description of the “paranormal” being given to them from person number one, and nod slowly as they’re struggling to remember how to breathe. Your description of that shadow makes me think it’s a spirit too! And it’s the same one I saw! HURF DURF
If everyone sees something completely different from one another, and people believe in such completely different things while ridiculing ones they don’t believe in, doesn’t it become mind-numblingly obvious that nothing supernatural exists?
Why doesn’t anyone ever capture a poltergeist on film? Why haven’t they captured a “cat spirit” in a Ghostbusters vacuum? Could it be the fact that humans simply have extremely vivid imaginations?
Is it not an obvious fact that since no proof of anything supernatural has ever been demonstrated, that it’s only logical for a sane, critical-thinking person to assume that nothing supernatural exists?
They have, they have, they have! Normally when someone makes a claim as ridiculous as this, they back it up with evidence.

I have. There have actually been a few times.
1. I was in my room and I heard creaking on my bed and one of my friends can actually see ghost and so I told her about it. She said that there is a woman who died when she was 25 and she is watching after me because she wants to see me make it to 25. Well I’ve seen her shadow but not her. 3 of my friends have seen her in their dreams 1 of those people have seen her in person. My friend who is 25 has seen her in a dream the night b4 he saw me and its happened every single time. My other friend who is the 25 year olds brother has seen her in a dream to. Then my friend has actually seen her. The spirit that is following me has hurt my friend. Many times. She seriously hates my friend because she thinks that she is a bad influence.
2. The other night I was laying in my bed. I couldn’t sleep. I heard some noises which by now were normal to me. So I was laying down in my bed and she got on top of me. She was looking around the room and then I realized that there was someone else there with her. She looked at me and got so close to my face. I could see her eyes nose and mouth as if it were a skeleton. Then I closed my eyes real tight. When I opened them she was sitting behind me rubbing the side of my face by my eye brow. It was soooo warm. She layed there all night. Until about 5 am when i woke up. I was doing my mae up getting ready for school and on both my jaws they were swollen and hurt really bad. Does anyone know why this could have happen?

Not sure but think I may have a spirit that lives in my house. I do not feel afraid or scared, I have never seen it. I have heard running in my hall when I was the only person in it (not running) and think I have seen shadows before. My brother also claims to have seen the shadows, twice while visiting.

I must have been in 3rd grade when it happened. I wasn’t sure who it was when I saw her but it was something or someone. She was just a little older then me. She came in through the window I remember because I was cold. I forgot my blanket and I was on the top bunk in the bedroom I shared with my younger brother, Jeremiah. I woke him up just before we saw her. I was trying to get him to get my blanket (what are little brothers for). Well, she was beautiful. She had red hair, a long white dress with a stripe along the bottom couple inches about 2 inches wide. I could not see her feet. Did she have feet? I don’t know. They could have been too transparent to see or just that the dress was too long to see. I remember her face. She looked puzzled or lost. I’m sure it was the same face I had on. I just couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Well, anyway, she floated in and stood there staring at us for a few minuets. How long I don’t really know, but it seamed like a few minuets. She was standing by the green vinyl couch we had in our bedroom. Then she turned and floated into the rest of the house. It was just a few minutes of my life, but it affected my thoughts for the rest of my life.
I first thought it was because I took a fly earlier that day and took the wings off and felt bad for him and tried to take care of him and put the poor little fly in a crack of the couch and fed him, but I never saw the poor little walk… a… I mean fly again. And the ghost came for the fly. Silly I know.
Later I believed and for years later I was sure it was my future daughter coming back to see her future father. It scared me. I mean why would she be that age unless that was the age she died years later. And a red head. Not me or anyone in my family has red hair. We all have dark brown almost black hair. How could I have a red head, unless I marry a red head hmmm that won’t happen! A red head? Is my future wife a red head?
No my future wife has brown hair almost as brown as mine so the odds of me with a red head was slim so who was she?
It’s a girl! We had our first child no red hair.
It’s a boy! Three more years later we had our second child. But wait! What color is the peach fuzz on that cute little head of his? Is it red! Wow I cant tell for shure but it looks like it might be. We would have to wait to see for sure but I think it may have been enough to make me almost pass out and render me useless for the rest of delivery. The doctors looked worried because he may have swallowed fluid or something like that, witch contributed to my wussyness im sure.
Wow does this mean I was right? Could I have a red haired girl? After talking to my grandpa black a few years later I discovered that he had red hair, when younger(wasent it always gray?). and wife maricia’s grandma was a red head. So it was genetically possible to have red heads(obviously). But after thinking bout it and talking to my mother I discovered she may have had a red headed child also. Dara would have been just a few years older then me. She died as a little baby and was born with less hair then Nathan my boy. So she had no idea what color her hair was. I will be willing to bet that it was and still is red. And that was dara tacking a tour of the house and checking up on her family.
Funny how I will never forget the look on her face when we saw each other and we were never on this earth that everyone knows at the same time.
