Rocky Top Inn, Gatlinburg. Double murders, now haunted?
Aug 23rd
In the late 1980′s a gruesome double murder occurred in the office of this small motel. The 2 innocent victims were employees and were stabbed and shot to death. It is said that you can sometimes see the apparition of the female at the fountain, or the ghost of the night guard as he patrols the parking lot. Most disturbingly, many have heard their screams until this day. We did capture a noise similar to a female scream many times during our digital voice recording session. You be the judge of what the noise is. On our parent website we have the full story along with the contents of the letter of admission found in the phone booth that contributed to the arrest of the people who killed the employees. http//www.paranormalspectrum.com Word of warning: if you decide to check this place out, even though we rented a room we were not treated nicely by the night staff who didn’t want us “ghost hunting” as they claim to have trouble from ghost hunters and teenagers. Our goal is to approach all research respectfully and to share it in the same manner. When we booked the room we told them we were there for the ghost story. That guy was cool with it. The people on the night shift had real issues and came after us shouting…even though we rented from them.
EVP Recording from the Aztec Hotel’s Most Haunted Room
Aug 22nd
I had an amazing adventure while staying at this truly historic landmark. While the hotel is in the process of being restored, the staff and owner really made me feel at home. The Aztec Hotel was a major Old Hollywood retreat with such stars as Clark Gable, Jean Harlow, Carole Lombard, Norma Sheare, WC Fields, Marilyn Monroe, etc., all visiting here at one time or another. The place was also a favorite watering hole for Tom Mix and Wyatt Earp.
