Ok, so I ended up in the hospital wanting to deal with issues of past abuse by my father. The psychiatrist told me that she didn’t think the abuse happened and she told me she thought my thoughts were wrong. I was given the standard questions that they give everyone and was completely honest in all of them. I am a wiccan, and am deeply interested in parapsychology, so when brought up with the questions of ESP and telepathy I told them I do not believe I have them, But I do believe they can be accurately and eerily demonstrated in other people. I told them I do believe everyone does have a sixth sense and a certain level of intuition. They wrote in my record that I believe that I have ESP and can display mind to mind telepathy. I also do enjoy to ghost hunt, I told them about this and they wrote in my record ” the patient believes that she can catch ghosts on her Ghost recorder” Yes, I did have a recorder and Yes, I was trying to catch Evp’s on it.(EVP stands for Electric Voice Phenomena)
I also do dream work as it is part of my religion and I am deeply interested in the collective unconcious, I ask questions and wait for a dream to produce an answer. I have had dreams that have come true and I told them about this. They wrote in my record that I believe I have prophetic abilities. Now I don’t believe I have all powerful prophetic abilities, but I have had some dreams that have come to bear fruition. Some people believe that that is what deja vu is, you’ve simply dreamt it before.
They wrote a whole bunch of LIES on my record saying that I believe I’m being chased by satan and believe a satanic cult is after me. I do not believe in satan as he is not in my religion, and I did not and do not believe a satanic cult is after me. So they petitioned to commit me and the commitment was given to me.
My question is, do you think I have enough to sue for being discriminated against for my religion, and my alternative beliefs and can I sue this psychiatrist for malpractice because she didn’t take my past sexual abuse by my father seriously? I told her I was molested, and she pretty much flat out told me, no, you weren’t.
