What is the best way to get over the fear of the supernatural (ghosts/aliens/etc.)?

Question:
I’m afraid of ghosts and/or aliens…regardless if they are proven they exist or not. Everytime I watch some show like Ghost Hunters that document real haunted locations…I get freaked out and I can’t sleep or be anywhere by myself…how can I get over this fear and not run away screaming if I saw a real one.
