Go on one of the ghost tours. There was a book and later a movie called Midnight in the Garden of good and evil. which documents Savannah ghostly history. It is alot of fun.

Personally when we visit Savannah we like to visit Saint Simon’s Island, they have small shops for shopping and the scenery is beautiful. We always stop at the lighthouse to tour and walk the pier and the sunsets are amazing. The people there are always so nice also.
Have fun on your trip

I moved here a little over a year ago and I still love going on tours and looking around at different things. Visit the Savannah Visitors center located downtown off of MLK Blvd. There you can hop on some bus tours….it will either be a general bus tour, movie tour, or book tour (lots of movies and books were made here). If you take a bus tour…I personally prefer the Oglethorpe (blue trolley)…first off, it is the cheapest $10.00 as the others are around $25.00. After you go on the first one you can get on and off of the tour as you like. Secondly, they will then provide you with free transportation around Savannah until a certain time. Anyhow, check out the tours there. There are also places in CityMarket to visit that will give walking tours and horse drawn carriage tours. There are also boat tours and I am pretty sure you can purchase tickets for that at the visitors center as well. Night time is when it is fun to take the Ghost tours. There is one that I especially like…it is a haunted pub crawl tour. A guy will walk you through 7 or 8 bars and tell you about haunted stories that happened in each place…plus he will take you by the cemetery. DON’T WORRY…if you are not a drinker…this is fine as well…it is just a bonus if you do like to have a drink or two…or A LOT! The guy will walk the whole entire trip backwards and you end up walking about 5-6 miles. This tour starts up by the six pence pub off of bull st. (If you want the number it is 912-238-3843). There is only one guy that does this and I would make reservations ahead of time because his tours fill up quickly. If you are not into walking there are also haunted tours that you can take in a hearse, carriage or walking as well. I would just pick up brochures from the visitors center. If you have any additional questions…feel free to contact me through yahoo answers….HAVE FUN!
