What kind of equipment do I need to ghost hunt?

Question:
I am interested in ghost hunting. I understand that the equipment needed to do a thorough investigation can be costly. Is there any cheaper alternative tools that would be useful while still being able to do a thorough and accurate investigation?

I have watched many shows on this subject and on each one very expensive equipment was used. I would say your eyes,ears,and a good camera should get you started. Good luck,I find it interesting also.
Ghosts not exist, thus only need vivid imagination, if such things exist (they do not however), they not physical, thus no equipment can sense them, that make no sense, “Ghost Hunters” TV show is absurd “kuso”.

You will first need the most important tools for all ghost hunters.. imagination and a gullible mind. Big foot hunters also find these to be the most useful tools.
Of course if you are really, really gullible you will spend thousands on machines that do nothing (detect ghosts).
Sorry, if you wanted answers from other gullible people you should have posted this in the proper category.
All you really need is a bright white bed sheet as camouflage to Hunt them.*

well every i watch tv and watch or youtube about ghost hunting / spirit hunting they use the setting in the camra called NEGATIVE,
theres little things like a compass that is great to pick up electromagitic forces,

Walkie talkies if you have a team.
Thermal camera.
Maybe night vision goggles.
there are many items which can be bought for reasonable price. and can be used.
digital camera –under $100
voice recorder digital or tape. $15-$100
a device from your local hardware store. which detects emf fields . used for electrical wiring . in the electrical department . just make sure you get the ones that are adjustable. usually between $10-$20
adjust the sensitivity to stop it beeping from local power lines and sweep for emf fields . this device works good you just have to be on guard for power lines in walls and such and rule them out .
this device is good for sitting on a chair or something and telling ghost to come touch it .

Clearly You need some instructional DVD. I think it was made in the 80′s or 90′s and is called “Ghost Busters” I would say a rock, soda can, and maybe a ghost trap would get you a trophy ghost.
Get a life kid.
All I use is my shot gun with ghost sights mounted on it. Got a bunch of them with this set up.

1) a good imagination
2) a dark Louisiana swamp in the middle of the night
3) a 10 million candle power spotlight (get it at Cabela’s)
4) a gun
