How do I get ridd of shadow people?!?!?!?

Question about people who’ve seen ghosts/shadow people/demons etc?
Why is it we don’t educate people about superstition nonsense?

I don’t know – There is no reason for a graveyard to be scary but you still won’t catch me there after dark

Maybe they want to play & not rest.
Also a way to deter grave robbers…

I agree with you. I would think the graveyard would be a safe place in terms of ghosts and such. There may be some creepy living people there, but I would never be afraid of any ghosts.

I think it’s a very peacefull place.

Brainwashed into believing this stuff from stories told to them when they were kids, and also by the numerous horror flicks they made in the past and continue to make today.

Not sure, but I have read that at the turn of the century graveyards were actually popular public gathering places, kind of like parks. People would go there for picnics.

Its not that its haunted, its just the fact that there are so many dead bodies there. Thats what creeps people out. I actually find cemeteries to be very peaceful. Sometimes I go to older cemeteries and look at the old headstones and just sit on a bench. Many graveyards (especially the newer ones) are beautifully landscaped. I’ve even seen wedding pictures taken at cemetaries because of the beautiful statues, gardens and ponds……but, I still wouldn’t visit one at night. It would be creepy to me.

People are afraid of the unknown, which means they are affraid of death. We don’t know exactly what happens when we die so there’s always fear when mentioning death. We have no knowledge of it so people relate graveyard to death and death to unknown(fear).
Also, i believe, the fear from the spirits of dead people(ghosts) come because people are scared to confront the past mistakes they’d done to the dead one. In general people tend to solve their problems by running away or submit to fear …
Personally i don’t believe in any of it( such as ghosts or spirits or whatever)

Because death to most people especially children is a creepy thing. As far as ghost, there are people out there that do believe they are real.

I think it is just the idea of dead people buried all in the same area that is little creepy. There are also movies that show graveyards with spooky things happening there. I personally am not afraid but I have heard of people going to graveyards on Halloween and performing a seance’s. And ghost hunters go to graveyards with there high tech machines and hear some voices of people on the other side. But thats only for people that believe that.

This is steeped in fears from our past cultures and stories, and perhaps a bit in survival instincts.
In order to survive, man may have needed to be careful at night when some predators were hunting. As man advanced and developed ways to protect himself i.e. shelter, weapons, fire etc, the instinct didn’t disappear but was interpreted as anything that seemed reasonable at the time like ghosts or spirits. Toss in dead bodies and you have a really good story.
An interesting test would be to blindfold and earplug groups of people and drive them to a series of random locations and see if how many had spooky feeling…. Some groups would be told a graveyard was in the itinerary and others wouldn’t, some itinerary would include it and others wouldn’t.

There’s alot to be said here. I’ll try to make it brief.
Yes, ghosts are around because of unfinished business. Where they haunt is dependent on where they feel held down or trapped.
Graveyards are places where we take our loved ones to rest. But its also where the dead are. I guess graveyards are usually considered creepy because everyone knows what is there, dead people. It’s a place with people who used to be around, and a reminder of where we will all end up some day. There are a few graveyards where people say spirts will walk around. There are also other graveyards where bones are sticking up out of the ground and they look dilapidated.
Also remember that there are many stories that show what happens when you disturb a person’s resting place, ie; mummies, poltergiest, etc. I’m sure those stories also helped in the “creepy” feel of a graveyard. Take a look at the websites below.

This is the creation of stories and old legends. A cemetery is mearly a place where human remains are placed. Nothing more, nothing less.
The spirit leaves the body when it dies and crosses over to the spirit relm. They don’t hang about the cemetery. A spirit that wishes to comunicate with the living that are attuned, does not have to be done where the remains lay or even where they lived or died.
Spirtualists believe that we all die physically; and that some aspect of the personality or mind survives this and continues to exist on a spirit plane. Spiritualists use the word Spirit as a plural which describes all minds and entities who have entered into the spirit world. The purpose of the medium is to provide some evidence that a human has survived by describing the person to their surviving relatives. The degree of accuracy with which the deceased are described goes some way to convincing the living relatives and friends that the medium has some contact with the spirit. Spiritualists describe this as Survival Evidence.
1. We believe in Infinite Intelligence.
2. We believe that the phenomena of Nature, both physical and spiritual, are the expression of Infinite Intelligence.
3. We affirm that a correct understanding of such expression and living in accordance therewith, constitute true religion.
4. We affirm that the existence and personal identity of the the individual continue after the change called death.
5. We affirm that communication with the so-called dead is a fact, scientifically proven by the phenomena of Spiritualism.
6. We believe that the highest morality is contained in the Golden Rule: “Whatsoever ye would that others should do unto you, do ye also unto them.”
7. We affirm the moral responsibility of individuals, and that we make our own happiness or unhappiness as we obey or disobey Nature’s physical and spiritual laws.
8.We affirm that the doorway to reformation is never closed against any soul here or hereafter.
9. We affirm that the precepts of Prophecy and Healing are Divine attributes proven through Mediumship.
We believe that God is Love
and Power and Truth and Light;
that, ultimately, Perfect Justice rules the World;
that all God’s children will one day reach God’s feet,
however far they stray.
We hold: the Parenthood of God;
the Family of Humankind;
the Interconnectedness of all Creation.
We know that we serve God best
when best we serve our neighbors.
So may God’s blessing rest upon us,
and Peace for evermore. Amen.
I hope this is helpful

The subject of the dead is upsetting to most people. They do not haunt graveyards unless something tragic happened there.

My dad always said “the dead can’t hurt you, it’s the living you should be afriad of”. People watch too many movies.

I also find them very peaceful places, day or night.

The fault of movies, books, and gullible people who scare themselves at night sitting at a cememtary.

Did you think it might be because people are dying to get in?

Graveyards aren’t creepy. They get the reputation because many people have a fear of death and dead things. Decomposition isn’t the yummiest thing in the world. The dead do not reside in graveyards and their “trace” is most often associated with someplace that had overwhelming significance to them. Graveyards are simply big lawns with pretty sculptures and genealogical records.
