why is ghost adventures is better than ghost hunters?
on March 30th, 2010 at 5:44 amPosted In: Ghost Hunting Questions
Question:
Ghost adventures is much more believable than ghost hunters because ghost hunters mostly shows the expressions on their faces. Ghost adventures show how the evidence they found is or isn’t paranormal. Also ghost hunters doesn’t do 7hr lockdowns like ghost adventures does, so then ghost adventures get more paranormal evidence then ghost hunters.
Ghost adventures is much, much more believeable than ghost hunters!

What’s the whole point of asking this you have your reason RIGHT THERE!!!!!!
I like Ghost Hunters better honestly.
Ive never seen ghost adventures, but I want to now!!
both ghost adventures and ghost hunters are better then most haunted though, and that other one that has the guy at the beggining going “I dident believe in ghosts until i saw one myself”
Ghost Hunters is ten thousand times better than Ghost adventures.
Most of Ghost adventures seems completely fake. And the lead guy has no clue what he is doing, he puts his team members right in harms way. Like on the first episode I think it was, he got scratched and then started telling the demon/ghost to bring it and he told it to scratch his team member. SO not what your supposed to do.
Ghost hunters goes through and shows why the evidence they caught was or wasn’t paranormal.
I have a veryyy hard time believing Ghost Adventures is 100% real. Heck even 50%.
But Ghost Hunters I believe is completely real.
Edit:
Ghost Hunters tries to debunk everything, that way we can tell it really is paranormal activity.
A problem I have with Ghost adventures is that they always catch something. Seem odd to anyone else.
When you’re ghost hunting there is no way you are going to catch something on film every time. You might hear or see it, but you’re not going to catch it on film every time.
But it’s all just a matter of opinion.
Yeah and my opinion is your a pussy and you belong with GH!!!
I prefer Ghost Adventures for the reasons that you just listed. Plus, it seems like Ghost Hunters doesn’t think anything is paranormal. They always have some sort of logical explanation for it. And everybody’s entitled to their own opinion. For those who are more of a Ghost Hunters person, that’s cool. I’m not knockin it. I’m just saying that when I watch a Ghost show, I want to hear about Ghosts. Not all the logical explanations that are commonly mistaken for ghosts, you know? GA is more about finding ghosts where as GH is about debunking them.
Ghost Adventures are a thousand times better than G-Hunters! They actually catch the spirit on film! more times than the other guys. As they put themselves in Lock down and actually try to call the Ghost out, is so much more believable. I’ve switched from “Most Haunted” to “Ghost Hunters” to now “Ghost Adventures” and i don’t dare switch to that awful AWFUL “Ghost labs”
Ghost Labs doesn’t deserve to be called a Ghost show, it’s terrible. So im staying with Ghost adventures!
You posted an opinion, everyone has their on opinion. Plus you answered the question in your question. I think ghost hunters is better. The ghost adventures group pretend to be macho when they aren’t.
Saw the show for the first time last night on tv, where they were investigating the Sloss Burner. The show is frickin’ awesome!
GH is better because Jay doesn’t need four thousand pounds of gel in his hair like that guy on GA. Further the GH folks don’t spend those 7 hours going OMG OMG OMG DID YOU SEE THAT? HOLY CRAP WHAT WAS THAT HOLY CRAP DUDE I JUST GOT TOUCHED I.JUST.GOT.TOUCHED. OMG OMG OMG WHO FORGOT THE HAIR GEL? I capitalize because they have to shout everything. The only thing about the show I do like is that they give a history of the place they are going which is nice but also cuts down on the amount of evidence they can make up.
Isnt Jason bald? Ghost Hunters never finds any ghost so they dont need to scream, and they wouldnt know a ghost even if it came up to them and bit them on their asses! How many awards have GH won in its 7 years? GA have won a few and their documentary won for best evidence of capturing and proving ghost exist! Most people dont believe in ghost !Ghost Hunters trys to live up to that while GA proves that Ghost do exist ! In other words GH suck!!!
Yes they do find ghosts, case in point the St Augustine FL lighthouse they caught a shadow person on the upper flight of stairs. GH always says they aren’t looking to prove ghosts exsist they try disprove it, but if the paranormal evidence is overwhelming they will and do say a place has paranormal activity, they just blurt out whether or not a place is haunted or not.
Really, I think it’s like comparing apples and oranges. I prefer Ghost Hunters because they try to find logical explanations to things and don’t get all hysterical at every weird little thing that happens. When they catch something I KNOW it’s real. However, that being said, Ghost Adventures is more entertaining, for sure. They’re funny as hell because EVERYTHING freaks them out, Zak’s bod is to die for and the EVP’s are pretty amazing. But, the shows are just too different to compare and I don’t miss either of them. I flove Jason Hawes….for real.
Reasons why I believe Ghost Adventures is real:
They admit their evidence is real.
They founded the Ghost Adventures Crew (GAC): a worldwide community of paranormal investigators.
They are open to the public, with Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and YouTube profiles.
They occasionally conduct public investigations, which fans and enthusiasts considered fruitful and authentic.
They captured phenomena during a live investigation, which had an encore presentation the following day.
They addressed viewers and fans about the Robert Bess controversy.
Some of the phenomena they captured occurred simultaneously.
They lock themselves into the locations alone.
Their verbal and body languages (i.e. speech, facial expressions, and reactions) seem sincere.
They consider critical refutation, provide skeptical rationale, and attempt to debunk their own claims.
They provide commentary about their investigations.
They are interviewed and appeared on third-party television programs.
They share their findings and subject their evidence for peer review and analysis.
They interview witnesses and present any evidence the witnesses share.
They film their travels and create video weblogs (vlogs) for fans.
They won various awards.
So far to me, Ghost Adventures is the most artistic, entertaining, and fruitful ghost-hunting TV series.
Destination Truth (2007–present) and Ghost Adventures are my top two most entertaining paranormal TV shows.
AMEN TO THAT! AND I COULDNT HAVE SAID IT BETTER! THOSE TWO SHOWS ARE MY FAVORITE ALSO !!!
FYI: Hunters has a faulty camera crew, which is why Adventures capture more phenomena. Adventures also has a better sense of humor.
Ghost Hunters vs. Ghost Adventures is no contest, Ghost Hunters are all about the money and the producers edit out most of the footage that shows them freaking out so they look good on TV. And when they go investigate they spend more time setting up than they do investigating. In my opinion which I can also speak for most people who I have talked to about these shows, most agree that Ghost Hunters are Overrated and don’t perform on the same level that Ghost Adventures do. At least Ghost Adventures get most people their moneys worth unlike Ghost Hunters who half the time dont have any answer for people who actually have paranormal events happening. Heck, Even Ghost Lab is a far better show than Ghost Hunters (AKA: TAPS, GHI). And no disrespect to that sabrina girls comment, but who cares on who uses hair gel, that has nothing to do with performance and if you think Zach wears too much, well why dont you say the same for Ghost Hunters Dustin, he wears more gel than Zach and the drummer from my band who has a mohawk, sometimes the ghost hunters crew could mistaken a ghost from the reflection of Jason’s head from the amount of Turtle wax he uses on it thinking that the reflection is a shadow or mass etc…
So if anyone wants to see the real deal, check out Ghost Adventures and there, you will see true ghost hunting. Even ask Maury Povich, and he will than tell you who is the best in the paranormal Ghost Hunting industry.
(Sorry if my spelling is off)
ga sucks. Isn’t odd that they find, or feel something every episode. Did you see when Zac was possesed by that woman I can’t remember which episode. It was ridiculus. Sabrina I’m with you. “dude I swear I was touched, I saw, I feel. Ohh dude”And ghostianity you say you believe they’re real because they say they’re real. It takes alot to convince you. I say they’re they’re fake, since I said it’s real believe me.
As far as most haunted. I like the show, but I wish they had better microphones. you can hear their clothes when they walk they swear too much so everything is bleeped out. Cat and Les scream too much. And I hate when Yvette says.” Are there any astrial beings here with us.” That drives me nuts. But no matter what I love the paranormal world!!! Ghosts were people too.
I have to agree with some of the comments about the differences between Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures. Every body does things differently. But I have to go with Ghost Hunters, mostly because of their professionalism and the fact that they don’t take every thing at face value, they really try to find reasonable explinations for things that happen. They do show fear, but not like Zak and his pitful band of morons. When GH picks up things on thermal u see it. When they do EVP’s u can here what the person is saying, they don’t say this is what the ghost is saying, GH says “this what we think the ghost is trying to or saying”. Has anyone ever noticed that just about everything that happens to Zak,Nick and Arron, comes from off camera? Once in while they’ll catch something from in front of the camera. Don’t get me wrong i’m not saying that they don’t catch real things cause they do. As far as GH goes everything happens in front of them, take for instance when they investigated the St Augustine light house, everything they got was above them not off camera or behind them. GH’s never asks for outside opinons from supposed paranomal societies that are made up of PIMPLE FACED, COMPUTER GEEK, STAR TREK WATCHING DORKS!!!! That wouldn’t know a real ghost from a fake one, GH analyzes their own footage and recordings, and if think that an ORB is dust or a bug they throw it out, they don’t claim its an orb. If an EVP is questionable they don’t take it to the client and say this is an EVP we caught and this is what its saying. There are couple more things that kill me, about GA, it seems a lot of places that they go, the ghosts seem to always know their names. Yes Jason and Grant have been called by name on some of their investigations, but come on, when Zak gets threatened clearly on an EVP, like “kill zak” I think that’s stretching it just a little to far. What do the ghosts of the world have their own social network or what? What is called GHOSTBOOK, DEADSPACE? The last time I checked if a person spoke italian or german or japanese all their lives and didn’t know a lick of english, just because they died, I don’t think their spirits would instantly know how to speak english. There was one episode where GA was in an abandon insane asylum in Italy, and everything they supposedly caught on EVP, was in english, none of it sounded anything like Italian like some of the EVP’s GHI catches. At least GH has enough sence when do an EVP when they are some place foreign to ask if anyone that might be present can speak english, they just assume like GA does. What’s with this footage of a brick flying across a room, if that wasn’t a set up I don’t know what was. In one episode, a brick launches itself straight off the floor in front of Zak. Zak being the person he is claims it was picked up and thrown. When I saw it it didn’t look like a person threw it looked like it was rigged on an invisible wires and was pulled off the floor from off camera. Come on, when a person picks something up to throw it, its in two or three fluid moves not one straight off the floor like you’d see in a movie. The last couple of things I would like to submit is, one what’s with GA going to the places that TAPS has been, are they actually trying to build up their own credibility and tear down GH’s or what. I’m sure there are other places they can go that TAPS has not been to yet. The other thing I would like to submit is about the footage, with todays computer technology anyone with half a brain that knows what they are doing can insert an annomoly into the DIGITAL camera footage, like for instance the mysterious ball of light that GA caught in last nights episode at the Stanley Hotel in the cairrage house that Zak couldn’t seem to make up his mind about what this building had been. First he said it was where the Stanley Steamer was built, then it was Mourge, then it was a motel. The woman that was taking him on the tour never said anything about it being a Mourge or a Motel. I would love just once to see GH and GA meet up for a joint investigation, just to see what would happen, or that matter since GA has taken to going to all the places GH has gone, take their evidence to TAPs and compare their findings but I know that’s never gonna happen, because in my opinon GA is more fake than a 3 dollar bill…Sorry Zak that’s just the way I see it and call it, take frome someone that has actually seen a ghost.
In my comment I said GH’s just assumes ghosts all ghost speak english. I meant to say GH DOESN’T just assume all ghosts speak english, I didn’t edit my comment very well, sorry fols…lol
Excellent analogy!! You’re dead on…GH is a team of professionals and GA is a team of bumbling idiots! Unfortunately, our society tends to lean towards the ‘Jackass’ type of entertainment in this generation. I’m quite sad to see that is rubbing off on the paranormal crowd as well. Because of it, we’ll likely lose these quality programs like GH due to the popularity meters these networks abide by.
Ghost Adventures is a better show due to several things.
1)They go to places that contain more activity where as ghost hunters go to alot of peoples houses.
2)Equipment is of a higher grade and the correct equipment to use.
3)They intice the spirit activity(Zak says and does things to intice activity that 95% of the population would not do)
4)They do lock downs to have more research time to capture more data to be studied.
All in all they are both good shows but the reason why Ghost Adventures is liked by more people is that their crew has a better persona that fits that type of show,They show emotions and do things to captivate the viewing audience such as the Vulture City episode where they would not give up on going despite the weather and a confrotation with the police. To each his own for having their opinion but since Ghost Adventuress has came out Ghost Hunters has shown a drastic decrease in their viewing public due to these key elements, and for you skeptics who say why is it every episode they capture something and dont debunk anything……Watch the show the do debunk alot of things but as i do this type of work myself you usually do capture E.V.P.’S and thats usually what they capture they never get on tape a man that appears and says im dead im gonna kill you lol.Us in the paranormal field believe that ghosts manifest thru energy and speak thru the white noise(ones that are not residual and have direct intelligent rsponses)Hence the Orbs in pictures and video,EVP’S,and speaking thru radio frequency scanners.
why is ghost adventures better?
simple
because it is so much more idiotic then ghost hunters.
